Terms of Service
Last updated: July 13, 2026
Welcome to askchadd, a real estate information and agent-referral service for the North Carolina Triangle, operated by Chadd Thompson, a licensed NC broker affiliated with Jacob Ellis Realty. By using askchadd.com you agree to these terms.
What askchadd is (and isn’t)
- askchadd provides market information, home value estimates, an AI assistant, and free matching to local real estate agents.
- Using the site does not create an agency, brokerage, attorney-client, or fiduciary relationship. An agency relationship with a real estate agent is formed only by a written agreement with that agent or brokerage.
- Nothing on askchadd is legal, tax, lending, or investment advice. For decisions about your specific situation, consult the appropriate licensed professional.
AI content and estimates
- The askchadd assistant is an AI. It aims to be accurate but can make mistakes; verify anything you plan to rely on.
- Home value estimates are automated estimates, not appraisals. No inspection is performed, and condition is assumed average unless stated. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for a transaction.
- Market data is compiled from sources believed reliable (including Doorify MLS) but is not guaranteed.
How we make money
askchadd is free for buyers and sellers. When we match you with an agent and your purchase or sale closes, the agent’s brokerage pays us a referral fee under a written referral agreement. This does not increase what you pay.
Listing data (IDX) usage
Listing information is provided by Doorify MLS, Inc. of North Carolina for your personal, non-commercial use, solely to identify properties you may be interested in. You may not scrape, harvest, redistribute, or commercially reuse listing data from this site.
Acceptable use
- Don't abuse the service: no automated scraping or bulk extraction, no attempting to bypass rate limits or access controls, no using the chat for unlawful purposes.
- Keep your account credentials to yourself; you're responsible for activity under your account.
- We may suspend accounts or limit access to protect the service or comply with our data licenses.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
askchadd is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100), and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, and any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the date above reflects the latest version. Continuing to use askchadd after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
